A Note from J.D. Sitton, President and Chief Executive Officer of Infinia
Thank you for visiting the Infinia site. Please take a moment to get to know us. You will learn about the products, technologies, partners and people that make up Infinia. I also hope that you will gain an appreciation for the creativity, know-how and commitment that defines what we do and how we do it.
Our vision is ambitious – we are working to change how the world uses energy in order to improve the quality of life on our planet. We are doing this by working with our partners to produce:
- High efficiency micro combined heat and power (CHP) systems for residential energy consumers. These products are expected to reduce residential energy costs by 15% and the associated greenhouse gas emissions by over 20% without any reduction in consumer comfort and satisfaction.
- Environmentally attractive solar and biomass-powered electric generators:
Infinia’s Stirling generators can operate on concentrated solar energy (sunlight) and on biomass. These two forms of energy are widely available in both developed and developing nations. Converting them into electricity using Infinia’s Stirling generators is a smart choice for meeting the world's growing demand for electricity.
- Super-reliable electric generators for deep space missions and remote power applications:
Because of their higher efficiency, Infinia’s space power systems enable the accomplishment of four times more science per space mission than existing technologies. And, of course, these systems do not get launched until they have been proven to be absolutely reliable. These same attributes are also attractive for remote power applications here on earth, including mission critical power for military applications, telecommunications systems, and remote oil and gas operations where unscheduled maintenance cannot be tolerated.
